Our Favorite Font Pairings for Building a High-End Brand
Choosing the right fonts for your brand is all about capturing your unique personality and essence!
It’s also important to consider how you want people to feel when experiencing your brand. When you take the time to intentionally establish the why behind your visual brand, it makes the entire process of designing and picking complementary elements so much easier.
The brand fonts you select should reflect what makes your brand unique and distinctive, and help you visually communicate your brand story. Once you select a font for your logo, I suggest reserving that particular font exclusively for your logo so that it can really stand out and make an impact. It’s also incredibly important to think about how your fonts work harmoniously together with your other design elements. Sometimes this can take a bit of experimenting and tweaking to find that perfect combination that really clicks. Remember, complementary brand fonts and paragraph fonts should be easy to read — simple is always best — more than three fonts can diminish brand consistency.
Fonts are usually pretty affordable, but we always recommend making sure to check the license agreements to ensure you are using fonts correctly and within the guidelines. If you come across a font that is labeled “For Personal Use Only,” you’ll definitely want to find a version that allows for public use to avoid any issues or purchase the rights to use that font publicly.
